Is 13 9 normal for a battery

Car sits at around 13V idle and 14V driving on the freeway. Battery voltage is like 12.6V with the car off.. I would think 13.5-14.5 would be a more normal/healthy range.. no? Battery is most likely a couple years old, but had it tested at autozone and it said good battery. The indicator is black on the battery, (bmw OEM batt).

How to Test Your Car Battery Voltage (+Ideal Range)

The normal car battery voltage, measured when the engine is off, should read 12.6 volts (known as resting voltage). Car batteries usually provide these 12.6 volts through six cells, each supplying around 2.1V. When the …

13.8V alternator charging voltage O.K? or do I need to replace ...

I was listening to the car radio while I was doing an oil change and some other stuff for about an hour. That was enough to drain the battery, so I was unable to start the car. I used a charger to charge the battery. A few days later, I checked the voltage of the battery while the engine was running, and I got 13.8V. The other car I have, which had a …

Alternator Only Putting out 13 Volts – Should You Worry?

When your alternator produces only 13 volts, the battery will barely charge. And if this happens during one or two days, it will be more or less ok. But if this happens for a long time, the battery will lose all its juice and eventually die. You will not notice the process because even when the battery is low, it will most likely start the engine.
