The cases are surprisingly strong when using Baltic Birch glued together with the "finger" joints. Inside the cases, I use high-density foam to cushion the cells. The cells are not compressed on purpose but I do have them held together tightly packed using Kapton tape and card stock as spacers. I am using the same 120A BMS used by Overkill Solar.
